Enjoy a visit through the beautiful Post Rock Country with our 2025 Motorcoach Tour, “Quarry to Glory - Churches of Ellis County” on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The tour will begin at 8:00 am departing from Big Creek Crossing in Hays. The tour will include visits to eight Post Rock Limestone churches, drive-by visits to other Post Rock and Volga German churches, and an authentic German meal in Gorham. Included will be visits to the Bascilica of St. Fidelis in Victoria, St. Ann Church in Walker, St. Catherine in Catherine, St. Francis of Assisi in Munjor, Holy Cross Shrine in Pfeifer, St. Anthony in Schoenchen. 

​On the return home, the tour will have drive-by visits in Gorham, Loretto and Liebenthal. There will also be several points of interest along the way and our guides will provide interesting historical narratives. The bus will return to Hays by 5:00 pm.

A limited number of tickets will be available. Meal and applicable admission fees are included in your $75.00 registration. Admission fee will be $80.00 per person beginning January 1, 2026.

This tour will offer a glimpse of the area’s history and an understanding of the values of the early settlers with a different perspective from other similar tours. Spaces are limited so sign up early.
